While in high school many years ago, our Science teacher surprised her class with a simple experiment. We all gathered around her and eager to see the results of our experiment which we had made ready the day before. Our professor all of a sudden, said and this is why you should not drink soda as she pulled out a metal-nail from a dark cup of soda and we all marveled at the site of a rusted and partially petrified metal-nail that was one silver in color now was the color of rust as it has been eaten away or rusted away. To our surprise in just one day the Soda managed to damage the nail. Our teacher said, if the soda can do this to the nail which is metallic, now then just imagine what it is doing to your stomach.
